Dentists needing photography help? Look no further!

Dentists are increasingly taking up digital photography to document their work for a number of purposes, including case presentations and case acceptance, creation of marketing media with to showcase their own skills, and documentation for medico-legal reasons.  However, with the myriad choices available to dentists in terms of camera body selection, lenses, ring-flash vs. twin-flash, it can be daunting to get started.  CDPayet Photography is now offering a range of services to help dentists and their teams in this regard.  More details are available at CDPayetPhotography.com, but these include:

Expanding possibilities

It sure has been interesting the last few days getting this venture underway.  As I talk with colleagues in dentistry, it really has become apparent there is a major need for photographic services in a number of areas:

1) More dentists and their teams are introducing digital photography to their practices, but there is still so little knowledge of how to take quality photographs, how to catalog them, label and track them, correct/retouch, and then print them.  They need someone to teach them how to do all that.

2) Stock photography: while many dentists are getting involved with their own photography, many others are just too lazy or not interested, but they still want to show patients what they can do and what treatment possibilities exist.

3) Some dentists take great pics, but they don’t have the time, desire, or knowledge to actually convert their pictures into usable marketing formats of various kinds.

So I’m now looking to expand my photography business into this area.  At this time, I want to offer as wide a variety of services as possible, including portraits, fine art prints, teaching dentists and their teams, and producing usable marketing materials for other dentists.  The difficulty will likely be time management.

I’m embarking on a new journey into the world of professional photography, and I welcome comments, critiques, ideas, anything you can think of to get this journey going.  This will be an expression of my own creative spirit and a tribute to the many photographers who have inspired and taught and shaped my vision.  It will take me a bit to get things up and rolling, so please be patient.  🙂
